Service Project: CDC Warehouse

This Saturday, May 22nd, will be our last Imprint service day for the CDC Warehouse!

We hope you can join us!

Here's what's on the schedule: install 4 light fixtures, move furniture and grills to rental side of warehouse, more organizing, assemble incoming inventory shelves, repair fence, install new lockable door knob, clean up weeds and move sledge. To accomplish these tasks, we will need a crew of about 25 people.

Please note, in an attempt to complete our "to do list" this Saturday, we will have a start time of 8:00am. This means if you want to carpool, you should meet at Bennigan's (Ann Arbor Rd in Plymouth) at 7:30am. Also, we will be enjoying lunch at CDC's Sonshine Cafe (formally The Freeze), so bring a few bucks for lunch.

Gas Buy-Down

BP @ Cherry Hill & Canton Center

(park in the DQ lot)

On Saturday, March 20th, we will be participating in the Gas Buy-Down with Trinity Church. This allows the gas station to offer gas at a cheaper price to customers while Trinity makes up the difference. Offering the community a lower gas rate, pumping their gas for them and washing their windows - this is just a small token we can give of Christ's love to our neighbors!

We need about 16 people on Saturday morning.

"Waking Up To Detroit" was a great evening! (See picture here!) We're looking forward to continuing a partnership with CDC and learning more about Detroit.

Speaking of which - Saturday, Feb. 27th will be a great opportunity to get involved with the newest CDC project! We'll be helping with some construction and organization of an old warehouse to restore its functionality. Stay tuned for more details!

An Imprint Christmas!

It's Christmas time at Imprint!

This Friday, December 4th is both our Christmas gathering & service project, combined.

Our gathering will meet, as usual, at the Ruarks' at 7:30pm for Christmas fun & festivities.

Our service project will begin at 9pm, when we will be heading out to go shopping for the CDC Christmas Store (view the "wish list" here). This is a unique opportunity to buy* toys and games for Detroit parents to purchase as gifts for their children at reduced costs.

We will send carpools to Target and Walmart on Ford Rd. in Canton. Afterward, those who are interested will be meeting at TGIFriday's for drinks & desserts (everyone will be paying for their own beverages & food).
